Black Box Consulting uses this four-step process to maximize adoption of your critical initiatives and ensure project success:

• Develop a holistic change management strategy: If you wait to start your change management activities until an initiative is ready to launch, you’re way too late. Black Box will partner with project management or your PMO from the very beginning to define the nature of the change, the impacted audiences, the change readiness of the organization, and the mechanisms you’ll use to leverage change champions and mitigate change resistance.
• Map out a detailed change management plan: Using the change management strategy as a compass, Black Box will facilitate a full stakeholder analysis and then work with the team to finalize a detailed change management task plan. This plan will be integrated into the overall project plan for the initiative, and will contain all of the tasks, task owners and due dates to drive successful execution of the change plan.
• Manage the execution of the detailed change plan: Many change management efforts fail in the transition from theory (strategy) to implementation (planning and execution). Once the change management plan is complete, Black Box will utilize project management rigor to ensure you get more than theory by driving the effective execution of the plan, resulting in high adoption and improved business results.
• Measure results and adjust as needed: The importance of change management doesn’t end on the day an initiative launches. After launch, Black Box will work with you to measure the success of your change management activities, then plan and execute additional change campaigns to continue to lead your stakeholders through the change.
